About Moma Solar

Illuminating the Future: Moma Solar’s Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation

MOMA Solar was founded in Perth in 2017 by Michael Jarvis, a veteran of more than 26 years as an electrician in the oil and gas industry. He could see the need, and opportunity, for solar powered industrial lights in remote areas, such as mining camps, where power access was problematic. He understood this solar lighting had to be much more robust than the conventional domestic or garden variety, so he went to work, and MOMA Solar now provides a range of reliable, versatile, low maintenance and cost-effective solar powered lights.

Sustainability & Environment

Our goal is to supply reliable, high-quality solar powered lights that have been designed and engineered with longevity in mind. Most products are made of recyclable materials where applicable and spare parts are available to reduce waste if damages occur.

Our solar powered lights produce zero-emissions and the HDPE plastic of the Pop Up bases do not leach any chemicals into the fill water, it is thus safe to empty a base without contamination occurring. All of our batteries have an expected 7-year life span and we offer replacement batteries so that older units can be recycled safely.

Community Involvement

MOMA Solar contributes quarterly to the Carbon Neutral Plant-A-Tree Program to help reduce our carbon footprint. The program plants trees & natural flora in the Yarra Yarra Region, restoring it to its original state prior to being cleared for farming and promoting the original ecosystems to return to benefit the overall health of the land.

MOMA Solar regularly participates in the Annual WA Variety Bash. This is a yearly off-road trip to raise money for children living with physical disabilities, chronic illnesses and learning disabilities.

Reconciliation Action Plan

MOMA Solar was created to work in harmony with the environment & the natural resource of the sun. We began in 2017 and have been growing consistently since then by partnering with individuals and businesses that adhere to the same goals and values as MOMA.

MOMA wish to recognize and show support to the Custodial Landowners on whose land we live and undertake business practices.

Creation of our Reconciliation Action Plan was the first major step to achieve our Reconciliation Goals. All staff are involved with implementation and education that form part of our Plan which ensures we are taking positive steps to work together as a nation to build a future foundation of mutual respect, recognition and education.
